End-of-Life Family Photography Rooted in Love

There’s a unique kind of love that comes when you’re walking through end-of-life with a family member. It’s raw, tender, and full of presence — the kind of love that deserves to be remembered, even in the most difficult seasons.

In 2024, my Nanny (grandmother) entered hospice, and my family and I stepped into the role of caregivers. That season shaped my brain and my heart forever. It was sacred and heavy all at once. When you’re in the middle of it, you aren’t thinking about photographs. You’re in survival mode — focused on keeping your loved one comfortable, showing up in the small ways that matter, and simply being present. Looking back, I realized how few images I had from that time, and I found myself wishing I had more to hold onto: the way her hand felt in mine, the quiet closeness of family gathered, the love that lingered even in goodbye. Not because those moments were easy, but because they were real. They were ours. And they mattered.

Why I'm Starting to Offer End-of-Life Family Photography

I created The Legacy Project in September 2025 to lift that weight from families who are navigating end-of-life with someone they love. These sessions are always free, donation-based if you feel moved, because I believe everyone deserves to have something tangible to hold onto when words and memories begin to fade.

What Is The Legacy Project?

The Legacy Project is my  mission to provide families with portraits that honor love, connection, and presence during end-of-life. Whether in your home, a hospital, or hospice, I come to you with compassion and care. These sessions are never about posing or perfection. This offering is only for families who have a loved one who is terminally ill, in hospice care, or has received a terminal diagnosis.

What To Expect

These sessions are quiet, sensitive, and centered around your family’s unique rhythm. I document the natural moments that unfold, the same way you would want to remember them: honest, heartfelt, and true.

Serving Families Across New England

I offer these sessions throughout Massachusetts (where I am based) as well as Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, Upstate New York, and Connecticut. My hope is that these photographs become a source of comfort and healing, a reminder of the love that endures.
